Understanding Aromatherapy

At the 72 Hotel, we continually strive to rejuvenate the mind and body of our clients. From offering personalized therapy sessions to a spectacular indoor pool, our goal is to provide the epitome of tranquility. Organic Aromatherapy is another way to relax stressful minds. Our experienced team at the Ellipse Spa blends essential oils to offer the ultimate pamper session. Although our organic Aromatherapy is a customer-favorite, many of our clients are unaware of what it truly is. So, today this blog is dedicated to exploring Aromatherapy.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a specific holistic treatment that incorporates essential oils (natural plant extracts) into the massage. Widely used oils include lavender, chamomile, eucalyptus, and more. The purpose of Aromatherapy is to improve the overall physical and mental well-being.

How does it work?

During aromatherapy massage, diluted oils are applied to the body, which enters the skin and acts as a gateway for oils to enter the bloodstream and circulate across the body. When you inhale the scented oils, it naturally promotes beneficial changes in emotions, memory, appetite, and more.

Does Aromatherapy work?

According to NCCIH (National Center for Complementary & Integrative Health), scented oils were concluded to boost mood. In another instance, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) 's results showed a significant decline in anxiety after Aromatherapy with chamomile massages. Research from the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a study published in Menopause revealed that participants experienced reduced menstrual cramps and eased menopausal symptoms, respectively.

As you can see, Aromatherapy is a wonderful treatment. So, on your next trip to the 72 Hotel, we recommend an aromatherapy massage from the Ellipse Spa. Your mind and body will thank you for it. We can't wait to serve you!

The Best Restaurants of Sharjah

Exploring any city mandates a visit to the best restaurants of the town. Here we have gathered a list of the renowned eateries in Sharjah to add more flavor to your trip!

#1 Milas

Milas offers traditional Emirati dishes with a Middle Eastern twist. Situated in the Denim District of the city, the café provides a legitimate Emirati experience, from the home-prepared style food and karak spiced tea to the scents and ouds served towards the end of dining. Every table has an iPad menu, thereby allowing you to get a close look at what you're requesting. Popular dishes include saloonat laham (lamb stew presented with white rice), saloonat diyai (chicken stew presented with white rice), and house extraordinary mbahar fish (a sort of fish biryani made to a secret recipe).

Travel time from 72 Hotel to Milas: 8 minutes.

#2 Shababeek

Signifying 'window' in Lebanese Arabic, Shababeek offers a brief look into a Middle Eastern universe of extravagance cuisine next to the Al Qasba Canal. Lebanese dishes are popular here, yet there's something for everybody, particularly for families with Shababeek's amazing kids' menu. Well-known dishes incorporate the soujouk, which are Lebanese wieners sautéed in garlic, lemon and coriander, lamb kebabs, and potato harra.

Travel time from 72 Hotel to Shababeek: 10 minutes.

#3 Seashells

Seashells offer a unique blend of Middle Eastern and Indian food. It’s a seafood restaurant that serves fried/grilled shrimp, tuna, hammour, and delicious fish platter at low costs. Since Seashells operates until midnight, it's the perfect spot for any late-night trip! Experience the dining of locals at an affordable price.

#4 Katis

Notable for its steamed momos, handi dum biryani, and Kati Rolls, this Indo–Chinese café is an excellent affordable alternative that's a hit with local people just as travelers. Although a basic interior, Katis is known more for its food. The Katis saying, 'excellence is not a skill, but an attitude,' is reflected in the food and administration.

Travel time from 72 Hotel to Katis: 9 minutes.

#5 India Palace

India Palace concentrates on Mughal food and the imperial Mughal tradition that created it. Hugely impacted by Persian, Iranian, and Afghan cooking, the cuisine at India Palace comes with unique aroma and spices. Food is pre-marinated before serving and cooked in Cal ovens or tandoors. The eatery likewise intends to reproduce the 'stunning loftiness' of the Mughal empire through its hand-cut woodwork, elaborate pictorial introduction, and, obviously, the 'secret recipes' that make their dishes so loved.
